On Saturday March 03rd 2024, St Joseph Vocational Training Centre Kamuli rolled out the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse (PSHEA) Policy as part of the Gender Matters for Green TVET Programme. The PSHEA policy aims ;
- To create a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff, regardless of gender or age. Through workshops and presentations, the rollout aimed to:
- Sensitize students, staff and management about PSHEA and its importance.
- Facilitate understanding of the PSHEA Code of Conduct.
- Encourage commitment to preventing and addressing sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse.
At the end of the rollout, all stakeholders were asked to read the PSHEA policy, understand it, and sign the PSHEA Code of Conduct, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
